National Accreditation Authority
Based on the request of the Magyar Erdőtanúsítási Rendszer Nonprofit Kft. NAH is planning to extend its activities to PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) system.
PEFC is a non-governmental, international umbrella organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. Its endorsed national standards determine the location-specific requirements of sustainable forest management, its Chain of Custody certification system outlines the requirements for tracking certified materials from the forest to the final products, the whole process could be controlled from manufacturing till the distribution and selling.

The requirements for Certification Bodies:
1. In case of forest management certificate: according to MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17021-1:2016 and MER 1003 standards.
2. In case of Chain of Custody certification: according to MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013 and PEFC ST 2003:2012 „Requirements for Certification Bodies operating Certification against the PEFC International Chain of Custody standard for Chain of Custody certification”
